illustration friday (hurry)
"Hurry," in Curling terminology, is a command shouted by the skip to tell the sweepers to sweep harder and faster-- in other words, it's used much the same way it's used in ordinary conversation. But Curling is cooler than ordinary conversation. That's my opinion, but you agree, don't you? Of course, you do.

How funny! I loved watching curling for the first time. Just delightful to see this taken so seriously. *ahem* puts a lot of stuff in perspective :)ReplyDelete
Sounds like a lot of work, or maybe that's just because I've been putting off sweeping the floor?ReplyDelete
Aha! Great concept and illustration. I lived in Utah during the year the winter Olympics were there, and curling got a lot of good local press (I think they were trying to get more spectators...)ReplyDelete
Oh my goodness, curling! I will have to agree that curling is more interesting than ordinary conversation. Hooray for learning some new lingo!ReplyDelete
I never tried it, but I love watching. Great drawing again!ReplyDelete
I love your take on the word. I can see this making a great T-shirt for curlers!ReplyDelete
Debbie, thank you for your great card and envelope. The paper is a little bit different this time, is is a new technique? I also like the name card very much, I almost missed it. Very cool!ReplyDelete
I don't know what it is about curling that is fascinating...but thanks for sharing! Lovely work, as always and unique take on the prompt!ReplyDelete
