insomnia

This is Alix the bear. Why is he not cheery? you ask. Well... it's the season for him go into hibernation, but he has insomnia. Poor thing.

I've been asked to illustrate two story-poems. I've just begun. Where will it take me? We shall see. We shall see...

  1. Poor thing. Maybe he got up too late in the spring?

  2. You captured his mood perfectly Debbie. What a fun, creative project for you.

  3. The bear tossed and turned and still he couldn't sleep. He went out to see the moon but the sun was there again. Then he went out to see the sun, but there was the moon. Slowly he went out less and he started to dream about springtime. He tossed less and turned only a few times. He thought he didn't sleep much, but Morpheus gave him a very long bear hug that caused a blissful sleep after all.

    1. Nice ending.... But in the actual story, the bear finally falls asleep while he's listening to Santa Claus singing or humming or something like that. I'll have to check the details before I illustrate that part.... :)
