september give-away (etegami collages)

Snail with haiku by Issa
"Dust of Snow" by Robert Frost

Common theme in Japanese horror tales
From my Proverbial Cow series
Can you believer it's already time for the September give-away? I picked out four of my etegami-collages, one each for four randomly selected winners. Each one is from a different series, and each is an original etegami-collage constructed with painted etegami images and washi paper backgrounds, glued onto re-purposed stiff paper backings.  If you want to be considered for the give-away, please indicate this clearly in a comment below.  I will chose four names on September 8. As usual, I can't promise which work will go to which winner, but it would be helpful if you indicated your preference(s) anyway.

Note: This give-away is limited to followers of this blog. If you aren't already following, there are three easy ways you can do this, and they can be found in the right-hand sidebar of this page. If you take this opportunity to newly follow/subscribe, please tell me which method you used.

  2. Well, I guess I didn't count as "following" because my method was just to always click on your FB links. I have now properly subscribed by email. I particularly LOVE your snail! All my other originals are hanging in my bedroom in the new apartment - I will love the ghost one if I get it, but I won't hang it in my bedroom! (If I am lucky enough to win, I have a new mailing address!)

  6. well, you know I'm a fan and a follower :)

The well one would be so wonderful to pass on to a friend going through a tough time. She has a well on her property that she goes to quite often, for prayers and such.

    How generous of you.♥

  8. Oh I love all of these, how can you part with anything you make? I think if I had a choice I'd choose Robert Frost or the well. :)

I'm a GFC follower. I read Christi's comment and do you have a page for your blog on Facebook? I searched but couldn't find it.

    1. @Perogyo, Thanks for asking. I have a personal page on FB that is open to the public, but no page specifically for my work. I also created a FB group called the Etegami Fun Club where anyone with an interest in etegami can gather together and stimulate one another to give it a try for themselves. We have members from all over the world. Check out the club page and you will find me.

  11. I would love to win one of your works, any would be a treasure. The well calling speaks to me of my childhood, we would watch old horror movies on Saturdays while I did the ironing for my brothers and sister.
