meteor shower

Most poetry baffles me, but this haiku by Juliet Wilson, blogger at Crafty Green Poet, struck an inner chord. It made me think of all the enthusiasm the media drummed up this year over various cosmic phenomena for which much of Japan was supposed to have front-row seats. Our particular piece of the sky was clouded over every time.

  2. The same thing has happened here every time there is a full moon or a meteor shower it is cloudy. The heavens are being secretive, shy, discreet or mysterious. This is beautiful. You just have to look at it differently. Thank you for changing my view of missing it all. :)

  3. Haha, I've been there too! >:-( Although I've seen several gorgeous meteor showers when the weather was more cooperative.

I was very surprised to hear that poetry baffles you! You seem to me to have a highly poetic mind. Your art is full of metaphors, ideas concentrated to a certain essence... & I know you love the nuances of words... curiouser & curiouser!
