more illustrated recipes for kids (#2)
It's been so long since my kids were little (and even longer since I was a kid), that it wasn't easy to remember what amuses a child's mind and tickles his taste buds, but I thiiiiink this recipe and illo get pretty close. This is my second submission to TDAC's Cooking 4 Kids contest. If you haven't seen my earlier submission, it's here.

Did you get any feedback from the first contest?
ReplyDeleteTherese, do you mean the original contest from last year? I didn't win anything, but my grilled pacific saury recipe is included in the TDAC cookbook that comes out in October. The second contest was about figs, and I didn't do well in that. The Cooking 4 Kids is the third TDAC contest and the deadline is September 12. We'll see how that goes...
ReplyDeleteOh! And my Sapporo Festival Map received "honorable mention" in the TDAT illustrated map contest. :D
ReplyDeleteWow, food and 'potty' humour all in one, sure to appeal to kids (I must be a kid too!)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful submission!
ReplyDeleteHa...the name alone will win many fans among kids, right? So much fun, and so beautiful all at once!
