sleeping cats
The October issue of the Japan Etegami Society monthly magazine Etegami arrived a few days ago, and I was delighted by the special section on cat etegami. These "sleeping cats" brim with personality, don't you think?

I enjoyed seeing all these sleeping cats-- it really gives a smile!!! Cats really have something of the divine in them. :)
ReplyDeleteTrue and luckily there is only one of them looking angry!
ReplyDeleteCute cats, even though I'm thoroughly a dog person. I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law. My best to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteGreat Cats.I especially like the dorky, grumpy one in the upper left. I frequently eye my two cats thinking etagami.....but I'm a bit put off by the great cat drawings of the past (Vallaton's "two cats" and "la Paresse" and Steinlen's cat drawings and posters...). Maybe someday.
ReplyDeletelovely selection of cats
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on blog posts. I've been enjoying your etagami, though I enjoy it every day on my studio wall - the pigeon is looking over me!
ReplyDeleteI see where your son joined IUOMA. I sent him some Mail Art. Best to you and your family.
Amazing. How did you know he was my son? He will be so happy to get mail art from you. He's been waiting a long time to be accepted into IUOMA.
DeleteHe mentioned it!
DeleteThe cats are just great. I have tried to get my cat to look at the pictures but he's fast asleep!
