illustration friday (faded)

end of day

end of cherry blossoms
IF THIS IS FADING
If this is "fading"
Oh let me immediately "fade"!
If this is "dying"
Bury me, in such a shroud of red!
If this is "sleep,"
On such a night
How proud to shut the eye!
Good Evening, gentle Fellow men!
Peacock presumes to die!

  1. Poor Emily, but I suppose fading away is not too bad, however Debbie, I think the first one is more like 'going out in a blaze of glory',
but then your etegami are usually glorious!

  5. On some streets here it sometimes looks like pink snow has fallen in the night.

  6. These speak to me as I see the dotting you spoke of. They are beautiful, but less detailed than your usual etegami and go so lovely with the poem . Thank you.
